Défoncé sources our cocoa from a respected Belgian gourmet chocolate manufacturer that has mastered bean selection, blending, and traditional whole bean roasting for over 100 years.

Our cocoa is supplier is also Belgium’s first chocolate company to shift to sustainably grown cocoa, which directly supports cocoa farmers and sustainable cocoa cultivation.

Cannabis

All of our cannabis is grown in California, free of pesticides, solvents, or micro-organisms. Its THC is then extracted and infused with our fine Belgian chocolate inside our 40,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art confectionary in Oakland.

Our multi-step Clean Infusion Process™ allows us to combine quality chocolate with premium cannabis extract in a way that brings out the best in both, delivering a delectable confection that is safe to ingest and beautiful to behold.

 
 
 

Cannabis without compromise.

When sourcing our cannabis, it’s just as important to test for what’s not inside as what is. The result is a premium THC extract completely free of pesticides, solvents, or micro-organisms.

We test. And then we test again.

Six times to be exact. The state of California requires only one test for cannabis products, but to us, that’s simply not enough. From harvest to the final batch, we aim to deliver a quality product at every stage of the process.

An exact dose in every bite.

Once we have our pure extract, we mix it with a fat-soluble base, stirring it constantly for 24 hours to achieve optimal homogenization. This allows us to be more precise with our doses in each and every serving.

Patience makes perfect.

After the extract is completely blended with the base, it’s infused with melted Belgian chocolate for an additional 24 hours, further homogenizing the confection to make it as consistent as it is delicious.

Finally, the chocolate goes through a tempering process, where it continues to be stirred as it is slowly heated and cooled. It’s this subtle art that gives our chocolate its shiny, flawless appearance, breaking off with a simple snap, and melting smoothly in your mouth so you can fully enjoy the flavor.
